    Lorain, Ohio

    Lorain Mayor Jack Bradley delivered his State of the City Address outlining a forward-looking vision for economic growth, fiscal discipline, public safety, environmental leadership, and neighborhood revitalization. The Mayor emphasized that Lorain’s progress is grounded in responsible governance, strategic investment, and strong collaboration across local, state, and federal levels.

    Mayor Bradley highlighted continued momentum in downtown and waterfront redevelopment, including strategic collaboration with the Lorain Port and Finance Authority to expand maritime and industrial opportunities; federal and regional partnerships supporting Black River remediation and dredge material reuse initiatives; and brownfield cleanup efforts positioning key sites for advanced manufacturing, urban agriculture, and smart technology investment.

    The Mayor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to a balanced budget, forward-looking financial planning, and continued income growth. Although essential services must be maintained, there must also be investment in Lorain’s future to ensure continued growth. Public safety remains a foundational priority, with collaborative strategies being implemented to reduce violence and strengthen neighborhood trust.

    Through various partnerships, Lorain will continue to advocate for Great Lakes restoration funding, infrastructure investment, workforce development, and equitable urban policy. Mayor Bradley spoke directly to students and reaffirmed the city’s commitment to youth opportunity, workforce training, and neighborhood engagement. He wants to ensure that the next generation has greater opportunities than the last.
