The Mayor also shared initiatives to provide universal pre-K, support for early educators, and job opportunities for students.

    Mayor Wu reiterated her commitment to environmental sustainability, emphasizing the ban on fossil fuels in new city buildings, zero net carbon zoning plans, and launching Boston’s first networked geothermal system. She also acknowledged the progress made in reducing gun violence to record lows with investments in trauma support, community-driven safety plans, and collaboration with law enforcement.
