In Response to DOJ’s Baseless Investigation, DMA Launches Legal Fund to Support Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Democratic Mayors Association announced that the organization is launching a legal fund to support Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as the Department of Justice targets him in a politically-motivated investigation.
“While Mayors like Jacob Frey are focused on keeping criminals off the streets, Trump has invaded our cities, attacked our citizens and created fear and chaos. Mayor Frey – and Mayors across the country – are focused on keeping our communities safe and thriving, and supporting residents. Instead of working with our Mayors, Trump has weaponized the government against them and our cities. The Department of Justice’s decision to investigate Mayor Frey is transparently political and we are launching this legal fund to ensure he has the resources needed.”
