    West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James gave his fifth State of the City Address, underscoring the community’s accomplishments throughout his tenure, including unprecedented growth, local and federal investments, economic development, public safety achievements, and mobility initiatives.

    Mayor James shared that recent community investments reflect a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents, with a focus on large-scale special events, housing services, public health, safety, and park enhancements. He also spoke about the Federal RAISE grant, which will significantly invest in roadway repairs, mobility, and transportation projects, including a $8.1 million federal grant for infrastructure improvements in underserved neighborhoods.

    The Mayor highlighted public safety achievements, including a 20-year low in violent crime rates, with notable reductions in homicides and sexual assaults. Additionally, he shared community support program successes in public art initiatives, homelessness advocacy and response, the implementation of WPBKey, and the Mayor’s Jumpstart Academy to foster entrepreneurship in communities of color.
