Democratic Mayors Launch New Website, Resources for Mayors Following Widespread Victories in 2025 Elections
Washington, D.C. – Following the dominant showing of Democratic Mayors and Mayors-elect in the 2025 elections, the Democratic Mayors Association launched a new website today with resources and information about the local leaders moving our nation forward.
Democratic Mayors represent the only group of elected officials where Democrats currently have the majority, and the Democratic Mayors Association is the only organization dedicated to electing and supporting Democratic Mayors across the country. Democratic Mayors won nationwide last week, from big cities like New York City to towns in red states like Overland Park, Kansas, and look to continue the momentum heading into 2026.
Americans have seen real results because of Democratic leadership – from medical debt relief, expanded affordable housing, major strides on public safety, and more. And as the federal government falls down on the job, Mayors are standing in the gap to provide services to their residents – including getting food assistance to families as Republicans refuse to fund SNAP.
