DMA Statement on the DOJ Investigation of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey
Washington, D.C. – The Democratic Mayors Association shared the following statement on the U.S. Department of Justice investigation of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey:
“Donald Trump is making our communities less safe. While Mayors like Jacob Frey are focused on keeping criminals off the streets, Trump has invaded our cities, attacked our citizens and created fear and chaos. Mayor Frey – and Mayors across the country – are focused on keeping our communities safe and thriving, and supporting residents. Instead of working with our Mayors, Trump has weaponized the government against them. The lies, intimidation, distractions and coverups are all attempts to hide the fact that Trump is using federal agents to attack US citizens for using their constitutional rights. While Trump continues to try to control and dictate instead of lead, Mayor Frey’s focus has and always will remain on keeping the residents of Minneapolis safe.”
