News 12: Mayor Adams partners with Hertz to create new jobs, electric vehicle education courses

Mayor Eric Adams' administration is celebrating Climate Week by launching a new partnership with car rental company Hertz.

The mayor says Hertz intends to create 100 new jobs, donate five electric vehicles to automotive technical schools and add up to 1,700 electric vehicle stations to its New York City fleet.

The company will also partner with four public high schools to provide electric vehicle education and training opportunities for students. These schools include A-Tech High School in Brooklyn, Alfred E. Smith Career and Technical Education High School in the Bronx, Thomas Edison Career and Technical Education High School in Queens and Ralph R. McKee Career and Technical Education High School in Staten Island.
