  • Democratic Mayors Association Endorses Results-Driven Slate of Leaders Focused on Delivering for Working Families

    May 15, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Democratic Mayors Association (DMA) today announced its endorsement of a powerful slate of leaders who are delivering real results for working families and proving that strong Democratic leadership starts in America’s cities.

The Democratic Mayors Association proudly endorses:

    • Mayor Craig Greenberg — Louisville, Kentucky
    • Mayor Karen Bass — Los Angeles, California
    • Mayor Helen Tran — San Bernardino, California
    • Mayor Rex Richardson — Long Beach, California
    • Assemblywoman and Speaker Pro Tempore Daniele Monroe-Moreno — North Las Vegas, Nevada
    • Former Lieutenant Governor Kate Marshall — Reno, Nevada

“At a time when families are demanding action on affordability, housing costs, public safety, and economic opportunity, these leaders are showing what effective leadership looks like,” said Virginia Mayer, Executive Director of the Democratic Mayors Association. “They are not interested in managing the status quo — they are building housing, revitalizing neighborhoods, creating opportunity, and making their cities safer and more affordable for working families.”

Across the country, Democratic mayors are leading the work of lowering costs, strengthening local economies, investing in infrastructure, improving public safety, and tackling the housing crisis head-on. While dysfunction and political chaos dominate Washington, mayors are delivering measurable results in the places where Americans actually live their lives.

Mayor Craig Greenberg has prioritized investment, public safety, and economic momentum in Louisville. Mayor Karen Bass is confronting Los Angeles’ homelessness and affordability crises with urgency while working to improve quality of life for all residents. Mayor Helen Tran has brought disciplined leadership and renewed focus to San Bernardino, and Mayor Rex Richardson continues to position Long Beach as a leader in infrastructure investment, innovation, and opportunity.

In Nevada, Daniele Monroe-Moreno has built a strong reputation fighting for working families and safer communities, and Kate Marshall brings a proven record of executive leadership focused on fiscal responsibility, economic opportunity, and long-term investment in communities.

Together, this slate reflects a new generation of Democratic leadership: leaders focused on outcomes, willing to take on big challenges, and committed to building cities where working families can afford to live, work, and get ahead. This is DMA’s first slate of endorsements for the 2026 election cycle. Additional endorsements will be released as the cycle progresses.
