Mondays with the Mayors: Recapping the 2026 Democratic Mayors Summit
Last week, Democratic mayors from around the country gathered in Atlanta for the 2026 Democratic Mayors Summit. Mayors had the opportunity to learn from each other and from experts about how to continue finding creative solutions to the affordability crisis, public safety, and more.
From hosting the World Cup to meeting the moment on lowering prices to combatting the Trump administration’s health care cuts, our Democratic mayors put this year’s theme of “Mayors Deliver” on full display and showed how they are delivering real results to their cities and constituents.
DMA Vice Chair Kate Gallego shared just one of these experiences with WSB-Atlanta about the Beltline and trying to bring this successful example back to Phoenix.
