Democratic Mayors Congratulate Ken Martin on His Win as DNC Chair

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Democratic Mayors Association (DMA) President Mayor Justin M. Bibb issued the following statement on the election of Ken Martin as the new Democratic National Committee Chair:

“Democratic Mayors congratulate and celebrate Ken Martin on his election as the next Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Chair Martin is a proven leader with a deep commitment to uniting our Party’s diverse coalitions and advancing an agenda that reflects the voices of all Americans. He has also always displayed a strong and reliable commitment to partnering with and supporting Democratic Mayors.

Like Democratic Mayors, Chair Martin knows how to get things done and he has demonstrated his ability to deliver results as Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, President of the Association of State Democratic Committees, and Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Under his leadership, we are confident in the future of the Democratic Party and know that mayors will always have a seat at the table.
