Democratic Mayors Association Statement on the Attack on Paul Pelosi

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Democratic Mayors Association (DMA) President Mayor Levar M. Stoney issued the following statement in response to the heinous attack on Paul Pelosi:

“The Democratic Mayors Association is saddened and appalled by the brutal attack on Speaker Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, earlier today in San Francisco. Our hearts go out to Speaker Pelosi and her family, and we wish her husband a full recovery. 

It has become too common for elected officials, candidates, and even family members to face this type of abhorrent political violence. Hate like this has no place in our democratic society, and we must all condemn this hateful behavior. Any political violence, harassment, or intimidation efforts of this kind are simply unacceptable, and we must always hold assailants accountable.”
